What to do
in Reims?

Dive into the city of the Kings of France!

If you go to Reims, you will have a great overview of the History of France. From antiquity to the triumphal march of Joan of Arc in 1429, including the coronation of the Kings of France at the cathedral of Reims from the 9th century, the city was marked by major historical events.

Located in the famous Champagne-Ardenne region, in the North-East of France, Reims is the capital of champagne production. You must stop at the most famous champagne houses in the city!

Have a breakfast in front of the magnificent cathedral of Notre-Dame de Reims

This is the best way to start this day! True core of French History, Notre- Dame de Reims Cathedral was the site of the coronation of the Kings of France for 1,000 years.

It owes its prestige to the Sainte Ampoule, a vial of sacred oil used during the baptism of Clovis in Reims in 498, the first king of the Franks. Despite the ups and downs of time, the cathedral of Notre- Dame de Reims retains all its splendour with its 2,303 statues.

Unesco declared the cathedral as World Heritage in 1992.

Find Notre Dame’s treasure at the Palais du Tau

People say that Caliph Haroun ar-Rachid gave a talisman to King Charlemagne in the 9th century, which was found during the exhumation of the king’s body in the 10th century. True or not, this piece is preciously preserved in the Palais de Tau.

This former residence of the Archbishops of Reims also contains the chalice of Saint-Rémi, used during the coronation of the Kings of France.
