Psst! Want a chance to win tickets to Disneyland® Paris this summer in celebration of its 30th anniversary? Every day through August 26, 2022, Orange Holiday is giving away 2 tickets per day to the park. If you’re going to France this summer, all you have to do is register online! Bonne chance !
1. Use the Disneyland® Paris app to plan out your day.
From rides to shows to character meet and greets, there is a lot to do at Disneyland® Paris which is composed of two parks: Disneyland® Paris and Walt Disney Studios® Park. You can purchase tickets to visit one or both parks.
Use the official Disneyland® Paris app to manage your time and plan your day. There is a full map of both parks, and you can navigate your way around to rides, theaters, and restaurants. Within the app, you can find the schedule for upcoming shows and events, reserve a table at a restaurant, see current ride wait times, and check if any rides are closed or temporarily inaccessible. It’s also possible to see which rides offer single-rider service and buy premier access tickets within the app to cut your wait time.
2. Connect to free wifi throughout the Disneyland® Paris parks.
There is free wifi throughout the two Disneyland® Paris parks, powered by Orange, France’s #1 mobile phone network and a long-time official partner of Disneyland® Paris. You won’t need to stress over using up your data because you can stay connected for free. The only thing you’ll need to worry about is bringing a portable phone charger so that you can keep taking photos and capturing the memories throughout your magical day.
If you need cell phone data outside of the park, choose an Orange Holiday prepaid SIM card in order to avoid high roaming charges and costly international plans from your local provider. In addition to 20GB of data, you’ll also be able to make calls and send text messages. Available as a physical SIM card or an eSIM (depending on your cellphone), make your purchase in advance of your trip and you’ll be ready to go as soon as you land in France.
3. Celebrate the 30th anniversary of Disneyland® Paris.
This year is the 30th anniversary of Disneyland® Paris. With unique shows, shiny new routines and costumes, enchanting displays, and a spectacular drone light show, there are plenty of ways to celebrate this milestone!
Download the free “Celebration Quest” app, created by Orange, and embark on an immersive, digital treasure hunt throughout the parks. Seek out and collect the badges for a chance to win prizes, like a stay at Disneyland® Paris or a smartphone!
4. Plan for a full day, so dress and pack accordingly.
Plan for the weather by packing sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, clothing layers, and rain gear if the forecast doesn’t look so great. As an adult, you cannot wear costumes in the park, but you can have fun by dressing in theme or wearing Mickey Mouse ears. Above all, comfortable shoes are a must as you’ll be doing a lot of walking!
Prepare for your adventure by bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated. Food is also permitted inside the parks, but there are many food stands and a few restaurants where you can get something to eat.
Backpacks are allowed in the park, so you’ll be able to tote in all your gear. None of the rides are super intense, so you can bring your bag with you on all attractions. While on rides, you’ll just need to put it on the ground at your feet. To this effect, don’t bring anything bulky like a cooler or a suitcase as these items are not allowed.
5. Disneyland® Paris is totally worth it from Paris as a day trip.
A 40-minute train ride from the center of Paris, Disneyland® Paris is a manageable day trip from the French capital. There is no need to go there by car as public transportation runs regularly to and from the site. The RER A is the metro line that you’ll take from Paris in the direction of Chessy. You can easily get on from Châtelet Les Halles, a major metro hub in the heart of the city. The cost is 5€ each way.
There is a little something for everyone at Disneyland® Paris, making it a good day trip for little ones and adults alike. Whether traveling as a family or with a friend or partner, it’s bound to be a magical day.
