Paris is shopping
You may know Galeries Lafayette as the popular upmarket French department store, but at their flagship location in Paris, they also offer much more. Galeries Lafayette is one of the most beautiful places to be during the holiday season as they feature some of the cities most beautiful Christmas lights. They also offer a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower and the city of Paris up on their rooftop terrace. During the Christmas season, you’ll have the opportunity to go ice skating on their artificial rink up on the terrace and enjoy the beautiful aerial views of one of the cities largest Christmas trees which dangles down through all levels of the department store.

The Marais Area
The trendy area of Marais (aka. SoMa) is where you will find the fashionistas of Paris. Nestled along the old cobblestone streets of Marais, you will find beautiful boutique shops, creative spaces, hip bars, jewelry shops, and an abundance of art galleries.
Marais once had their own Jewish quarter which you’ll still notice as you stroll up and down rue des Rosiers or when you indulge at one of their many delicious kosher restaurants. Days in Marais are also often spent exploring popular sights like Place de la Bastille, Place de Vosges, Maison de Victor Hugo, La Bohème Opera or the Picasso Museum.
